CUSTOM BENGALS ALL TERRAIN SHOES
We all know that the officially licensed NFL sneakers are owned by 500 lb gorillas like Reebok & Vanity Fair; however, that hasn’t stopped large groups of people from having custom Bengals shoes designed by the celebrity customizers… Insanatees. The customs sneakers were sold for $300 - $400 a pop and every time a display pair was put together for the store window, it sold in less than three hours. Slowly, but surely the word started to spread around Cincinnati and this bolstered the custom Bengals shoes sales into the stratosphere.
Pretty soon the customs were being worn by the likes of Icky Woods, hall of famers like Antonio Munoz, and worn by entertainers like Bootsy Collins. The Bengals customs were in the news, on the radio, and in the chatroom; however, demand outstripped supply because these customs typically took 3-5 days to fabricate and a huge backlog soon developed.
Recognizing the opportunity, the Insanatees team worked on developing a universal Bengal style shoe. During the design process, the Insanatees team went for style, ruggedness, practically, and price. After several dozen iterations and feedback from Bengals fans they finally hit the mark.
First, they dyed the leather material orange so that if the sneaker were ever scratched it would maintain its color. Next, the added exceptional value by embroidering each Bengal stripe. Finally, recognizing that the games are periodically held in the dead of winter, they eliminated the standard sneaker sole and used a boot sole. The result is the (All Terrain Shoe) ATS Bengals shoe. The ATS Bengal shoes is a hybrid sneaker / boot that is stylish, rugged, and affordable at $89.99 (until June ’08 actual retail will be higher).
